  • Re-Purposing Stuff

I got tired of having to go in to wash things when grilling. So I re-purposed some stuff.

Do you ever re-purpose stuff? Got any pictures? I need to think of something to maybe do with some other things. One man's junk is well, you know.

Thanks. I've got a 32 gallon one with legs. Tank looks in great shape from the outside. Bladder ruptured. Has legs.

All I could think of is a grill or making a fire bowl of some sort.

Get a old truck brake drum and make a backyard forge out of it.
BHD did this I think not too long ago.

Nice job too i'd like to add.

You might be able to take advantage of the tank and make a hood. Cut a hole at the top and put a length of smoke pipe up top. Use some fire brick and contain the heat some. I've never made one myself but since seeing the one BHD made i have thought about it a lot and am on the lookout for materials to build my own one day.

I am always trying to reuse things. Here is a picture of a potting bench I made from a garage sale bar sink, and wood pallets. I did have to buy the stainless top and hinges. Total cost about $75.00. It works great.

And the water can go right back into the garden. No big deal in Oregon perhaps, but here in CA....
I'll take mine whenever you want to ship it.

We re-purpose on purpose. My daughter Jana and I are planning a small 200 sq ft cabin which will hopefully be made from 100% re-purposed materials. We recently found a Habitat for Humanity ReStore which will make it a lot easier.
