    After just spending the 2 beans for my brand new one, I'd at least like to know there's a reason the older head should sit in my truck...I'd really like to know if there are any advantages to the older, larger head.

        There are advantages to the older bigger head. The focal length is different and the lighting mechanism is different. They both have great images but I have the feeling their uses will be different. The bigger head will work better in spacious cavities where the smaller head will do great in more confined smaller areas. I think you will be impressed with the new head but you wont throw out your old one ;-)

            The old head also has the attachments (hook, etc).

            Does anyone use the attachments? I'm sure it could be really useful for electricians for wire pulling or something like that.
