  • Tired of laying under the sink?

Tired of laying under the sink? Use the MicroExplorer.

This cabinet was water damaged. The bottom was in a bowl shape. AND full of water. Didn't have anything to soak that much up and didn't want to lay in it so...

I was asked only to repair the lav nut on the cold side. (Mobile home) Just propped it in the corner and point it upwards.

Yes, you do have to reach some with the basin wrench.

jc, what did we ever do before a camera

i use a 2' x 2' interlocking foam rubber pad. great on the back, knees and keeps you dry

p.s. the ridgid #2006 "faucet and sink installer" almost eliminates the need for a basin wrench

I was looking at the Ridgid # 2006 wondering if I would use it.

          Is it a worthwhile tool?

I used to use old leather couch cushions, because they were thick and worked great. I saw a plumber in Denver do this once, I was hooked right after that...

So this is the application process for the secret salesman status? Start threads showing off Ridgid tools? I'm on to you, JC.

i also have their original metal handle one.

the 2006 has a few inserts that work great.

it has an oval adapter that works for turning the angle stop handles.

the other one i use is the 1/2'' feed line nut wrench. it grip the nut for the faucet and allows the connector to slide into the hollow handle.

then you have the slotted cuts that work on the newer plastic lock nuts.

overall it works great. sure i like my original metal one too. but the new version has all the extra toys built in.

give it a try and you'll find it's a plumbers helper

p.s i just ordered the micro explorer

but when i get to the point i can't lay under a sink to see what i'm doing, it's time to sell off my stash of tools and hang up my boots

If I didn't have the little camera, I could have done similarly with a mirror & flashlight. Always got to think around stuff. But how many minutes would a mirror last.

I'd like to have a cushion but am already constantly pushed for room.

                  Remember, you call, I go.

                  Any Repair-Shower valves etc.
                  Drain Cleaning
                  Sewer Line Replacement
                  Ham Sandwich

Just no room to justify the use of any type of cushion.

                    simple solution jc.

get a pool float and inflate it when you need it and let the air out when your done

i'll call it a k-60 pad and sell millions

actually what i use are the 2'x2' grey floor interlocking pads like used for gyms and floors. some are 1/2'' and some are 3/4'' thick.

                      i get a pack of 8 for $10.00 and they're water proof.

great for both indoors and out.

                          Hey Rick,

I use the same pads along with furniture pads indoors. Unfortunately these days I'm doubling up on the rubber pads, the knees just can't take it any more
