  • Concrete slab with heavy rebar

Any tips on locating 4" steel pipe under a slab that is reported to have multiple layers of rebar?

I have the SR-20 and ST-305 to work with.
"When we build let us think we build forever. Let it not be for present delight nor for present use alone. Let it be such work that our descendants will thank us for, and let us think, as we lay stone upon stone, that a time is to come when these stones will be held sacred because our hands have touched them, and that men will say, as they look upon the labor and wrought substance of them, "See! This our fathers did for us."
    John Ruskin (1819 - 1900)

512 would be the best. I would not trace it becuase induction may lead you all over the place. Dog fence wire seems to work better than bare wire in case pipe. Hope that the wire mat or rod is not in contact with the pipe. Good luck

The only way to trace this pipe is put a current through it from a Navitrack brick or other locator and drill a hole through the concrete to earth it with plenty of H2O and pray that the pipe dosen`t tough to much rebar.
