Just wondering what percentage people use SeeSnake accessories such as the Guide Stars or Guide Balls?

    How often percentage wise?

    Thanks.

I use my balls almost all the time. Never cared for the stars.
    Buy cheap, buy twice.

We used to use the stars but became such a PITA with the clip rings to put on and off, I gave up

The guide balls works pretty good and is easy to remove if it's too bulky to pass a fitting

You don't have to brag about it.

have switched to guide balls ever since they came out. much faster and more secure. they also push further.

guides protect the camera and limit wear

Percentage wise though. Does this mean you are using them 90% of the time unless you have some turns issues?

            Thanks.

100% of the time unless the pipe is too tight for them.

with lots of choices of cameras and guide balls, i find a combo that works 90% of the time

I use the guide stars sometimes 1 sometimes 3 of them, everytime but if I can't get thru I take them off and go that way matters on the drain and bends. But using the guide stars it really help to bend them back and forth slowly before using them. I have the guide balls but only use them on my mini not the full size.

One thing that does suck is the price of the stars or balls. I have lots of snap rings and only bust the teeth off the stars, I want to just buy the stars not the $100 package of both

I have the balls for my full sized SeeSnake, but I make my own stars with 1 1/4 PVC pipe and weed whacker whip.

At first I didn't use anything but since I tried the balls I use them every time unless I can't get them through a tight spot then I might take them off and try with just the camera head.

Never got round to trying the stars yet and probably won't as the balls seem to work well and protect the camera.

They are something like this one.

I will dig out my skids in the morning and take pictures. Right now there is to much snow and its to cold to dig in my van for them.
