Are they proprietary? I have a different brand that I love with one exception. The reel is too small and it needs to be put back perfectly. It is not the end of the world but it does slow a job down. When or if I get a larger camera I would like to get a Ridgid brand reel and camera minus the monitor and didn't know if the connectors were the same.

Not sure about your question but the CS 1000 monitor is awesome. Definitely something you might want to consider.

Seesnake interconnect cables are the same from day 1. Only one different is the one for handheld micro series connector.

And yes, the cs1000 is truly amazing.

I agree the with the reel being to small. I like to lay the reel on it's side and push the optic cable down...keeps everything nice and straight.

To follow up on your question.

The seesnake cable is propriety to seesnake monitors.

Post a photo of your non seesnake monitor connector.

Also it's not just the connector that's an issue. It's the power for the sonde to worry about.

          Rick.

Here is the picture of the connector.

Sorry everyone. Right click to open it. Any pointers on how to post the pic properly?

                  Re: Seesnake connectors

The SeeSnake uses a 4 pin connecter with only 3 of the pins used. One of the many reasons I love the SeeSnake, they keep it simple.
