  • Using a sewer camera in a water line

I would like to use my see snake camera in a water line, but need to clean / dis-infect it first. is laying it on its side & soaking it in a strong solution of bleach ok? Does anybody have other ideas?

Is this for potable water? If so I wouldn't take the risk of getting someone sick.

Yes, potable. I gotta locate tee's along the line and its 3-6 deep - my listening equipt & thumper kinda hard to pinpoint. The idiots put the utilities above the water also. Thanks, it'll be a long day and a slow dig

why not just shove it in, do the work, and sanitize the entire system later?

Ive done it, but it was a fire main 1 time and a non potable line for a dog pound the other time.

Its not just the camera, spring assy. Its the entire push rod too.
