      Its the upgraded transmitter with an external batery option. Owners manual was printed in june 2013.

      Rich, you do a lot of utility locates?

        Rick,

        I am doing 4 or 5 a week! my ST-33 is getting wierd, but the SR-60 I love love love! It is so intuitive and accurate!

          Ron, I reached out to Coleman, Toolup, USA Bluebook and the Colonial Hardware and no one has seen the ST-33QR. At the rate i go through batteries the rechargeable 18v is looking really good right now, and my current Q is getting tired anyway, it is going through 6 D batteries in 3 hours.

            They will save you about a grand a year.

              The 33qr was a rolling upgrade to the 33q. Same price same features just added the ability to use a 18V LI battery. Most distribution should be through the old style of 33Qs.
