    can anyone tell me if the scout works with non ridgid sonde transmitters? Cheers f1plumber

    Nothing unique about the signal except frequency, should be able to detect with any brand locator that covers that freq.

      512 hz is the frequency that is pretty much for camera and sewer lines

        On a slight sidetrack I'd recommend not to use the scout if you locate often and at any depth. The Navitrack II is a much more accurate piece of equipment, close enough in price and invaluable when you're on a job and the scout just won't give you solid readings.

          I bought the scout as a backup and its not to good if you need to work a any depth kinda junk over 4 fees or so
