  • If you could only have 1. . .

For all you drain cleaners. . . if you could only have 1 snake what would it be?

Rick may come home one day to find that I have dipped into the inheritance early and started selling off his tools (just kidding Rick, take a deep breath)

If he was left with just one, I think it would now be the k-60. . .thanks to Utah.

I'm sure his answer would have been different a year or so ago.

Out of curiosity. . .what is your one favorite snake?

I would have to say the Gorlitz with the interchangable drum and guides . If I remember correctly ,the same motor spins 1/2" cable and then 7/8" .Top mach. for roofs , better balance then a k-60 , and huge power even at 100'+ down a stack . The 1/2" obviously for inside lines . They are the other 1/2 of my drain calls . I own the k-7500 to remind myself I'm old and I'm not getting on a roof for a main line . I"ll find the line and install a clean-out if I can"t get past the bathroom group.{ on that occasional back-to-back rough-in ].I have the 39af and the K-50- as well . Sold everything else.

K 6200. It's not my favorite machine, but It can be taken on a roof in two pieces and is nice and lightweight.

Re: If you could only have 1. . .

This sounds very familiar to conversation I had this week, Joey, are you asking this question for Rick?

I am not able to pick just 1 because I have 3 machines for three different types of stoppages.

I have a General Super Vee for lav stoppages, tub stoppages, shower stoppages and laundry standpipes.

I use a Spartan 100 for kitchen sink lines and laundry lines with c/o's

I use a Duracable Main Line, (the largest one they make) for my main line stoppages.

I think that "someone" is hoping to hear the k-60, someone else might be hoping to hear the k-50

LOL. Nope. Rick does the dirty work I stick with the clean stuff

I think I should be offended that you don't think I am smart enough to come up with a topic by myself

If Rick doesn't really "need" some of the stuff we have, then we can make room for new stuff!

No need to be offended, It is just ironic I had this conversation with rick and a few other gentlemen this week.

So, once again, please don't be offended

at first i thought this was a frivolous question but after some thought (don't ask me why i was thinking about this) i'd have to go with the Ridgid K-60. it covers a lot of bases and could probably be a "handyman's" dream machine.

i'd also need some plastique for those hard to reach blockages.
