  • Enzyme in Septic Tank

We bought a new home two years ago outside Chattanooga. In East Tennessee, we don't have soil - we have "chirt." It is fine rock and is great for growing tobacco, but perks poorly.

Although we have had no problems with the septic tank, is it a good idea to flush some of the enzymes sold at HD down the drain every couple of months that supposedly keep the slude decomposing?

Don't waste money on the enzymes...
Just be careful what you flush and get the tank pumped every few years if it needs it...
