Not that this is a big deal, but today i sponsered my sons baseball team. Gonna be pretty neat Managing his team that is Drain Medic and seeing it on the baseball uniforms. Makes me proud. When i told my son that his team name is Drain Medic, he smiled and said, " Thanks dad, i love you." Wow what a feeling. I love this.

Just thought id share, its not a big deal....Anyone else sponsor teams?

My kids are not quite old enough for Little league, etc. but when the time comes, I ceratinly hope I will be in a position to do something like that.

Those I love you dad's(daddy's) are great aren't they. My daughter (3 1/2 yr old) On the holiday questionaire that is posted at the hallway of her school(for valentines day) the question was "What is love?" Her answer "Daddy"

      Truly special moments.

              Re: Community Involvement

Our family was very involved in Scouting. At the risk of sounding like on 'old-geezer', there's not much better than an 'I love you, pawpaw'

                      Re: Community Involvement

I gots a huge list of sponsorships. I categorize it as the cost of doing business. Most start around 3-5 hundred and go up to a couple grand, an every year thing.

Lots and lots of perks come out of that equation that more than pays the sponsorship cost every single time. The sponsorship of a girls softball team has me in talks with UPS for my second business providing temperature control while they load their trucks in a hot warehouse. I wouldn't of had that inside connection if it wasn't for my willingness to spend for a good cause, now big brown is coming to me wanting to spend money. Full circle has its rewards.
