I've seen these on ebay and thought they were just repainted but looking further the color seems factory. Did ridgid produce a limited edition K50 at one point?

Many years ago I remember seeing the gold ones in supply houses. I'm not sure if they were a limited run or a failed color change which was changed back.

This is a pic of one. Got it on ebay. Not sure on the age but it runs very well. These things must be built like a tank to last so long.

                Ben,

I've never owned a gold one but I seem to remember seeing an NOS one on clearance at Hirsch Pipe about 20-years ago. I'm sure the color is only cosmetic and the rest is the same.
