Its my first year and I have K-39AF for small stuff. A K-380AF for medium stuff and a versatile K-60 for mainlines. I chose the K-60 because where I work, sewer access is a problem, so going in basements, crawlspaces, roofs, etc. is a necessary evil.
As an alternative to the K-60 sectional, a K-750 would be a good drum machine to start with if you're a drum guy.
get a used Spartan 100 and a used Spartan 300 form Tony at the Cable Center, unless you have enough money saved up to get brand new ones. Also get a no-core 13/32 cable for the 100 and a no-core 5/8 cable for the 300. The inner core cable is just more expensive and heavier(especially when taking it up on the roof to clear a drain)...aloso get 1 plunger for a toilet and another flat one for the sinks...and a good toilet auger...that should get you started!!!....pass out business cards and make some money!!!
