  • Ever Jetted a hole thru a Fernco?

Anybody ever tore thru a Fernco before, how tuff is the rubber up against like a warthog? Sometimes they have near a 1/2" gap in them and the pipe.

the fernco is pretty thick. i use temporary jim caps that help divert water back into the drain and i do eventually wear through them. but remember they are thinner than a fernco.

you will notice that they will get cuts/ gouges in them as the water will cut soft rubber when it sits there. also depends on the gpm and the psi.

so the answer is yes. a jetter will cut a hole through a fernco if left there too long.
