    Re: Josh

aren't there any motor shops around town that carries brushes?

i know when i needed a set of brushes for other tools, i was able to find what i needed at a hardware store. they have some specialty boxes that have a variety of brushes.

if you can adapt a hole hawg brush, you can find an exact brush or something very, very close.

what size is the physical brush? are there springs or leads attached to it.

i'm not at my shop to look for myself right now.

i'm sure you can reference it to something.

emerson electric is the parent co. i'm sure they make the motors. it's got to be a brush that is not unique.

I believe having repair parts available so a guy does not lose business is every bit as important as looking at cables. If they are not available through Ridgid Parts who are they available from?

And not just parts, to stay in business you have got to have more then one of the same tool, even when it comes to specialty tools and equipments. That is what its all about, to be able to continue even when something breaks down...

Why is it Josh's job to find YOUR brushes?

If he's availible for parts scavenging then I need a new spring in my old basin wrench

I believe the problem is he went to ridgidparts.com and they are listed as "not available online"

I'll try to do something about this on monday. Traditionally they would tell you to order it through your local RIDGID distributor. I'll bring this to Renee's attention and see if she has any insight.

have you tried your ridgid authorized repair shop. they tend to have the parts or can get the parts.

shoot, a plumbing supply house doesn't carry 90% of the repair parts for the products they sell.

what is your zip code and i'll find you the brushes.

Josh, I think what you did for Steve is awsome but what would've happened if you weren't here? Ridgid would potentially be losing a customer. Customer service should not be based on who you know. I sure hope we get to talk to your boss at the roundup and tell him you need a raise for doing other people's job.
