The one tool that hasn't been mentioned that you absolutly need is a foam pad about 2x3. Great when kneeling on tile floors, keeps your knees out of the mud. Once you use it, you wonder how you got along without it.

Also bring a camera. Works great to take pics of previous damage so nothing can fall back on you.

ben, this has been the 1 item that has prolonged my knees.

i had my knee drained 6 times in a period of 2 years. next time dr. told me he was going to operate

6 years ago i started to use foam/ rubber pads for all my kneeling jobs.

the ones i prefer are the 2'x'2' dark grey interlocking diamond plate style you find at costco or auto parts stores. you get 8 for under $15.00

also joey found a nice thick soft one at target for $1.00

great thing is all these rubberized pads are water proof and i hose off the nasty stuff

1 of the best personal safety items i have

Re: What tools do you have?

I'll just list some of the odd tools that others may or may not have:

Small round Sioux Chief level - set on countertops or whatever to check for level.

Tool for cutting out faucet nuts

Several different picks for o-rings, seals, and so on

Ratcheting, swiveling wrenches for several different sizes of tank-to-bowl nuts

Ridgid's super-nifty faucet nut wrench that will back up a strainer or turn a stop knob - I really like that one!

            Moto tool and also Roto-Zip

Just forgot, get an O rachet. It looks like a regular socket and rachet but has a hole in the head to allow all thread or long bolts to pass through.

That is for handles on gate valves. and angle stops. I was given one from Buzz my old Hodes door to door salesman. I was unimpressed with it.
