I still love my Spartan 100 and nothing; not even a shiny new K60 will come between us
actually it was still a secret as no one knew it was you. you blew it

so i guess you did buy it

now your in the majority, not the minority

just make sure the neighbor has parked the toureg in the garage before you take the k-60 for a test drive

i guess the master blaster was the deciding factor.

    rick.

p.s. i let you win so you would feel better about buying the sectional

I've always been a Little Drummer Boy

Yes I use the K-50 and K-1500 and I hate them both. (GASP!)

I might come to hate the k60..who knows?

When I saw the K-60 matched up against the K-7500 at the Roundup, I went straight for the 7500

Our shop provides the 1500 (upright version) for main stoppages I just want to keep one machine to do multiple tasks and save space on my truck.

Now that the k-50 is coming off my truck I'll need a new top snake

I'll PM what I paid for the K-60

I still don't get it. Why get the k60? You've given sectionals a fair shake and if you don't like it......oh well, different strokes for different folks. Did Rick give you his money back guarantee?

funny part was he was looking for my blessings.

if he's use to the k-50, he'll love the k-60 with 7/8'' cable.
the 1500 is on the big side for most of my work.

lets see if bill, cracks and falls for the k-60.
            he'll really love me then

              You are sooo funny

If I wanted to buy a k60 that was run over by a truck you still would have given me the blessing

I think you are more excited over this purchase than I am

Now comes the hard part....telling Anita

I took her out last night for a dinner and concert to break the news

So far not too bad. She didn't start screaming and waving her hands around like she normaly does when I go over the tool budget.

              She casually asked 'how much?'

Beads of sweat began forming on my brow at this point. I stated in a firm reassuring tone "this should be the last sewer machine I will will buy until I retire"

Just at that moment the waitress brought us our meals... phew! Off the hook for now

              MMMmmmm.....Yankee Pot Roast

Looks like I'll need to hide the credit card bill again

The only problem I have noted with the slippers is the tail is like having an untied shoe lace. If you are not careful they will trip you up. I would cut the tails off but then they would not look as cool.

                    a combination 5/8'' sectional k-50 with 75'-100' of cable.

a sewer machine k-60 with 7/8'' cable and enough cable to clean 150'- 200'.
of course you need all the proper cutters and leaders.
don't forget the plunger and a 6' closet auger.
a hydro jetter would be a great addition for grease and area drains.
a camera and locator is a very large expense and not recommended if you don't do repairs.
Rick - I just bought several sections of 7/8 & 5/8 cable for our brandly new K-60, still sitting there, waiting for its first workout. Any particular reason why you recommend a k-50 with 5/8 cable?

BTW - Thanks for the list! I'm checkin' it twice against our 1st drain rig.

Since Rick has not answered yet I will tell you the K-50 is smaller and faster to get in and out on smaller lines. My favorite machine is the K-50 while Rick's is the K-60. That being said we both own both machines.

no real reason. the k-60 will run the same 5/8'' cable as the k-50.
personally i don't use the drum adapters that the k-50 will run that allows for use of 5/16'' and 3/8'' cable.

you'll do fine with just the k-60.

i have a few k-50's just for fun sure i use it, but that's because i have it. if i didn't, then i would use the k-60

                        same reason why i have a .357 magnum. and a .38 revolver.

the 357 will shoot both the 38's and 357.
the 38 will shoot just the 38.

                        sure the 357 (k-60)is a stronger gun.

                        the 38, (k-50) does the same as a 357 shooting 38's.

                        make sense

I like the k50 for 5/8 cable because it spins at 400 rpm vs 600 rpm for the k60. The slower speed gives me a better feel with the smaller cable. Plus this gives me the excuse to buy another machine. The k50 isn't absolutely neccesary but it's good to have.
