Sing along: Rick went east to kansas

Rick went east to kansas, he was looking for a soul to steal.
He was in a bind 'cos he was way behind: he was willin' to make a deal.
When he came across this young man using a K-7500 and push`en it hard.
Rick jumped upon a hickory stump and said: "Boy let me tell you what:
"I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a sewer cleaner too.
"And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with you.
"Now you rip pretty good roots boy with that big ol'machine of yours, but give the devil his due:
"I bet a K-60 made of gold against your soul, 'cos I think`s I'm better than you."
The boy said: "well My name's Steven and it might be a sin,
"But I'll take your bet, your gonna regret, 'cos I'm the best that's ever been."

Steve oil up your cable and push your machines hard.
'Cos hells broke loose in Kansas and Rick deals it hard.
if you win you get this shiny K-60 made of gold.
But if you lose, Rick gets your soul.

Rick opened up his van doors and he said: "I'll start this show."
fire flew from his fingertips as he sticks cables together.
He pulled the handle down on his K-60 and it made an evil hiss.
Then a band of Ridgid forum members joined in and it sounded something like this:
Clunk, bang, pop, crash, snap, bang, pop
Clunk, bang, pop, crash, snap, bang, pop

When Rick finished up and started packing things back in to his van, Steve said: "Well you're pretty good ol' man.
"But if you'll just sit down on that bucket right there, I`ll show you how its done."

Fire on the mount, run boys, run.
Ricks in the house of the risin' sun.
Chicken in the bread pin, pickin' out dough.
    "Granny, does your dog bite?"
    "No, child, no."

Rick bowed his head because he knew that he'd been beat.
He laid that golden K-60 on the ground at Stevens feet.
Steven said: "Rick just come on back if you ever want to try again.
"I told you once, you son of a gun, I'm the best theres ever been."

And he played fire on the mount, run boys, run.
Rick`s in the house of the risin' sun.
Chicken in the bread pin pickin' out dough.
    "Granny, does your dog bite?"
    "No, child, no."

I`m a hobby storm chaser and love the big ones. Living in tornado alley is a rush not like any other rush you could ever have. I`ve always found storms to be the coolest thing on this earth.
Next time we get a big one I try to remember to post up as someone might have family in the path of the storm.
Joey's brother is the head of ER at the trauma center in Houston so we traded news info all day waiting to hear how everyone was.

My mother was born and raised in Parsons Kansas so we have heard all the tornado stories. I've always like the power of nature regardless of what the source.

@ 8:37 pm it looked like we were gonna see a Cat 3 develop out of the storm as the eye had closed up but at 8:59pm last night I called it back off as it had opened back up.

Not a problem, he lives in the Woodlands which is 40-miles North of Houston. By the time Ike left his house it was already at my sisters house in Longview. This has been a long day of tracking Ike.

This is what I`ve been doing
My son called me at 4:00 this morning to ask me to go on the Internet to find out how much longer the Hurricane was going to sit over them. They survived it but said they lost all of the old-growth tress.

Back to storm tracking... This hurricane is a mean one. When I`m not storm chasen, I`m tracking, see ya tomorrow
My son's on-shore helicopter base is in Cameron, La. His helicopter is hidding in Florida right now waiting out the storm. The reports are the base will be 12' under water during the storm. The offices are mobile offices and the hanger has been gone since Rita so they figure they will just haul in new mobile offices after the storm.
