  • Getting to the root of the problem

so we all have pulled out roots before.

but have we pulled out the mother of all roots

these were pulled today from a very large, very expensive beverly hills home.

i guess they didn't have a maid, as the problem bathroom was the maids.

from the look of it, they haven't had a maid in 16'3'' of time

actually they were longer, but this is where the original plumber had cut the line to replace it. i would say there were another 15' that was already cut out.

of course if i wasn't in the photo, you wouldn't believe me.

once again another 100 degree day. and this was inside in the air conditioning.

    rick.

Wow that is a keeper for sure. Was that your customer or are you doing the job for another plumbing company?

that's because a sectional is no match for a gorlitz drum

              rick.

once again when you have roots that are right at the opening, a drum can be dangerous. 200# of spinning drum will not stop when the blade bears down with only a foot of cable in the line.

a sectional has an instant acting clutch.

this was only one of 3 nasty root jobs today.

I worked a a camp on Catalina Island for a couple of summers in the 80's. When wepulled one of "those" out with the old rods, we would put it up on the growler wall of fame. Growler for the noise it makes when coming out of the pipe.
Put it on the wall of fame Rick.

now that i read it, you're right
