  • Does anyone use a damage waiver?

Does anyone use a separate damage waiver that is signed by the customer prior to work? I am debating on making a two part(customer copy & our copy) stand alone waiver compared to using the bottom of the invoice. We are always careful to not create an issue but once in a while you get the house from hell and everything you touch falls apart.

I had a form made up called the Hold Harmless! Basically saying we werent responsible for any damage caused by old pipe, bad pipe, etc. etc. would use it for say lead lines, 2nd floor sinks, tubs, toilets, stuff like that. Would have the customer read and sign 1st before starting any work!

I don't yet, but its something I plan on getting around to eventually. Its a very good thing to have in your invoice.
