to be honest with you greg, i don't know because we don't have a need for anything like that up here.

we don't have any trees, so no tree roots.

i just figured i'd post this for the guys that deal with trees roots.

the problem i see with a hydraulic root saw is that the saw has to be sized for the pipe you're cleaning. it seems like this would work from manhole to manhole straight runs, but a line with 90's and 45's will not allow the cutter and motor to get through.

the advantage of a warthog is the ability to pass through a line with a smaller tool and still clean a larger line.

the original o-brian root saw might have been great for manhole to manhole, but lousy on normal indoor layouts.

The truck is rated at 60gpm at 2000psi from the manufacturer. We flow tested the truck, at the end of the 600feet of 1 inch reel hose it puts out 50gpm at 1900 psi. You can run the truck in a range of rpm to vary the pressure and gpm which equals rpm and forward force of the cutter. I am not sure what the top rpm for the cutter would be but I will try to find out.
