I have a backed up floor drain call tomorrow, right in between 2 water heater calls. My K50 stays on the truck 24/7. The 1500 will not fit. I am going to try to break the clog with it. Hopefully saving me valueable time in the process. From what I am told, the drain runs a max of 5' to the rest of the main, which is draining fine.

    Wish me LUCK!

    5' max. try a plunger

unless it's hard dried material, it should work good enough to open the line. i would try the 4 blade cutter or a straight auger to punch a hole in it. i doubt that you will have a full size cutter for the k-50.

you really need the do all machine

do i need to say k-60 with 7/8'' cable

    your 1500 will be jealous

Heck it should work fine. I ran a K50 through a shower drain to clear a hole house backup......inside. Worked like a champ. I just saw it was a 4"trap. It cant' hurt to try. otherwise take the toilet auger to it

I have had *some* success running a 3/8" cable. The 3/4" and 11/16" cables rarely make it through the running trap.

My 7/8" cable on the 1500 runs through 4" downspout traps all the time with a trap leader w/single spade head. It won't however go through a 4 running trap farther down the line.

            Haven't used the 1500 since I bought a K60
