  • ridgid foot pedal

    my ridgid foot switch is not shutting off what would cause that and how do you fix it?

    I am assuming that it is a pressure foot pedal, if that is the case then it sounds like your pressure switch is sticking, best thing to do is replace the pressure switch.

        sorry let me clarify its the foot pedal for my jetter model fv-1 its only a month old

          the foot valve is nothing more than a spray gun valve.

          i would check for a slight bend in the bottom of the foot pedal that is bottoming out. sometimes a stronger foot step is required.

          i actually blew one out and replaced it with the identical guts from a spray wand gun.

          turn it over and see the inner workings. pretty simple design.

            I have taken them in from the cold and had this happen when they get warm.Simple expansion. Try loosening the tubing at the other side.
            ...Or the air switch is hatched.

              fv1 is not an air switch.

              it's a high pressure water valve 3000psi 8gpm.

              nothing more than a spray wand valve.

              if it's not leaking/ dripping. then the auctator valve/ pin is not getting depressed.

              look for a bent/ warped foot pedal. there is a heavy angle plate that depresses the pin/ acutator.
