    Re: auto spin troubles

No, I don't own one. But might have a mechanical notion to help.

Or others might also with some more information.

    What problem are you having?

What do you expect for a $120? I have read nothing but poor reviews on this cheap little machine. I guess there is a market for stuff that doesn't work well, but hey, it is cheap so people buy it... kind of like draino.

You are right it is junk but I have it and it needs a motor I think wanted
to see if anyone had worked on one of these?

A few members here have used them but have posted they consider them disposable. When a comparable professional machine is five times as much money you have to figure the DIY one will not last too long. You may be able to find some info on them in the customer support section of Ridgid.com but here is the parts list for now.

If you do a lot of sink and tub drains...then I would recommend retiring the auto-spin and buying a K-39. Very good machine.

Nothing at all is wrong with the auto spin. If the motor is shot I'd get a new auto spin. It's cheap but mine works fine for what I use it for. Works great on tub drains and lav drains.
