for roots use the spiral root saw.

for hard deposits, i find that the 4 blade cutter is very good at cleaning up the deposits.

the k-60 uses high speed for the cutting and cleaning. it's not a torque monster. keep the rpm's up and allow the cable to spin. slowly feed the cable into the blockage to allow it to cut. if you get in trouble, pull back or release the clutch handle. speed is king.

make sure to wear the proper gloves as it will eat up rubber gloves. i use heavy leather gloves. never liked the feel of the stapled factory mitts.

also keep some water running to help cool and wash the debris away.

practice on easier drains if you're not sure. there is a feel you need between your feed hand and your clutch hand. hard to explain, but you'll get the jist with a little practice.

I have been using the K 50 for some time now so I can relate to what you are talking about with the k 60, Or am I wrong?
I usually pull some through the machine and use my hand to feed it through the pipe so I am not passing anything up.
Is this similar to what you are talking about with the 60?

pretty much the same machine, just a stronger bigger brother.

the k-60 is run almost identical to the 50.

but you have more power and speed to get it going.

remember that the 7/8 cables are 15' long. so there is some cable to keep track of.

It's a right angle drill by Dewalt. It has 2 speeds and the low speed has a clutch. It is like a super hawg.

I'm sure Rick has an extra 1 or 5 lying around I could sneak out the back for you

Mark, that is an Eastern wolf. I believe Pioneer's native is the Southern wolf.
