  • asbestos cement area drain pipe

how about these roots from an older area drain installation.

the owner who has lived here for over 25 years doesn't ever remember cleaning or maintaining the area drain piping. there are 6-4'' pipes that penetrate the curb face.

city is replacing the sidewalk and encountered this when they went to grind the tree roots under the slab.

used my 18h.p jetter to help cut and flush out the lines.

that big one is over 1.25'' in diameter. didn't waste too much time with that one as it is broken under the wall. but my modified root ranger style nozzle easily cut into it and sliced off the roots.

nothing like 3500psi coming out at 5.5 gpm in a 0 degree single nozzle that oscillates to cover 25 degrees. same principal as the root ranger.

    rick.
