As plumberscrack said, it's lack of power but work very well.
I think he was referring to the Auto-Spin machine
Where I am talking about the K-40 AF
I have the Auto-Spin as well. I do agree it is under powered, and the clutch slipping used to drive me nuts. Soon as I learned the ins and outs of the machine I was very happy. For a occasional use machine the Auto-Spin is a great little machine. Thats why I am looking at the K-40 AF is I need something that is more powerful and up to the task of daily use.
Well I did buy the K-40B AF (B = battery) unit and I did use it on a job today I posted a video of it clearing a slow lav sink line. I like it a whole lot. I sure beats holding a pistol rod. I will try to make a better video of me using it, the Camera I have is not the best for video recording. Here is the post I made in another thread. and here a link to that thread. http://www.ridgidforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36055
Ok here I am rodding a lav sink with the K-40B AF Sorry the video is not all that great, I ran the rod in the line about 20' The sink was slow and the blockage was just past the P-trap in the wall. The trap is 1 1/4" trap. It took a little to get used to the auto feed. It had more than enough power to work right through the trap and the blockage. I like it.
