  • K 400 vs k380

I have a chance to buy a new k 380 for 35 % less than a k 400. Is the k 380 the better deal for the price or is the k 400 worth the extra. I guess they change the drum mounts and the motor mounts when they updated. Any ideas much appreciated.

    Thanks

no expert here, but the 400 has a wheel kit and it was an extra on the 380, (I used a lawn mower handle and some lawn mower wheel, it gets heavy),

and since it has an integrated handle it looks like the frame was changed some, thus the motor mount,

they had a survey out on the K 380 and were apparently looking for how to improve the unit, and my guess is the K 400 is the improvements,

I was going to get the 3/8 cable so I could probably live without the wheels. Trying to get in shape anyhow. Appreciate your reply. Looks like either would work.

      Thanks

Have you informed Ridge Tool Technical Service Department. They will help if you can give them good information about how unit is operating. They may even replace it.

Yes I have not much help. Said take of cover and check the hardware, nothing was wrong.

The machine itself is a nice little unit for what it is. Since it was new it never has worked correctly. It feeds pretty good but retrieval is junk.
