  • K-400 augers function

Hey folks, I just posted this on the expert forum but i'll ask here too. I am a facilities manager and have a Rigid K-400 drain cleaner. I was looking on line for info on what each accessory auger for the k-400 does. Some are obvious, but others not so much. I would just like a quick explanation of each augers function. I was on Ridgid's site but couldn't fine anything. Thanks for your time. Dave

Check here. Click the first link beside drain maintenance. It will be an Adobe pdf. file. It should download and open.

    Some explanations on page 9.

    Good Luck.

Could this be a case of "If ya gotta ask"

There are so many heads that a detailed explanation would run a bit long...

K-400: Get a drop head bulb for it and stay away from everything but soft stoppages.

Thanks Bill, I was wondering about that drop head. I'll get one. On Toolup.com they have 5 different straigt bits at different prices. Whats the difference?

            Re: K-400 augers function

Different straight augers are different sizes for different machines & cables.

So if you had this machine with this cable:

            http://www.toolup.com/ridgid/26993.html

Then you would want this straight auger:

            http://www.toolup.com/ridgid/62990.html

I think this is right. I'm not an expert drainperson.
