  • If you have to choose...

I have made it to my first milestone

I have saved enough $$$$$ and have a decision to make and wanted some input.

    The choice is this...

Buy 200' color Seesnake plus with lcd pak along with a Microdrain and a Navitrack "brick" transmitter (already have a scout)

    or

Trailer mounted jetter 8-12 GPM 3000 PSI w warthog

I would be the only commercial company to have either one of these technologies available in a 60 mile radius.

I would like to have the diagnostic and locating capabilities first

Can I make the $$$ with either set up? Is it just a matter of company direction?

    Your thoughts?

    Bill

I'd go with a 200' color seesnake with pack AND get a 4 gpm jetter from water cannon. I would imagine you'd be able to put these to more use than a trailer jetter.
    Buy cheap, buy twice.

I like this idea Bill. Along with your transmitter and Microdrain if you can swing it. The goal is to keep the tools moving for me. The cost doesn't matter as much as how often you can get them off the truck and charge for them.

I do not have a jetter but am told you can do alot with 4gpm and one of the Root Ranger nozzles.

This gives you some location, jetting, small & larger DWV inspections. That's 4 things that could possibly come off the truck and create income.

The or that you state is only the trailer jetter. Be great if you can keep it moving, but can you? That's only 1 thing that can create income.

What I'm thinking. Take it with a grain of salt. I sometimes lose my keys.

What would you use more??? and make money faster with.
Camera can led to more work more $$$ I need a camera way more than a jetter.

I vote camera and small jetter because you will then actually find the jobs that need to be jetted. Camera = money in your pocket and quality to the customer no more guessing!

CONGRATULATIONS on reaching your milestone. Quite a decision to be made but what an awesome position to be in.

I don't think I've ever started a sentence with "I have saved enough $$$$$ and have a decision to make".

And actually this is the best time of year on craigslist to buy a nice pressure washer near new because all the painters are starting to pack it in and they sell the PW they bought at beginning of summer.

I think you will find you need both a Camera and a Jet, one compliments the other so to speak, example i ran cameras for 3 years before i bought my jetter (9 Gppm @ 4000 psi clean fron 4-8 " with a warthog nozzle is a must have for roots does a way better job than a root ranger) and i would camera a drain and the customer would see it full of grease sludge whatever and the only way to properly clean was to jet so after losing work cause i had no jet i bought one now that i have a jet i camera probably 90 % of the jet jobs i do it adds another $150 to the bill and the customer gets to see the pipe and see if there are any spots in the pipe I may have missed with the jetter and also check for integrity issues, looking for a good reasonably priced jet try these guys www.hotjetusa.com

that is why we need a public option. i've had no health insurance most of my life. november 1 i get communist socialist insurance (medicare). i'm on socialist security now. i have no preexisting conditions. insurance agents just laugh when i tell them what i do. the coverage that they wish to sell is so minimal that i will be bankrupt with it or without. lol. breid..................

I saw that, too. My first thought was "He's going to spend CASH!!??"

My monthly Visa payment is around $1,500.00. Every time I get a zero balance, Obama does something to screw it up...
