What is the longest drain you cabled? which machine did you use?

Today a cabled a main 6" clay, 190' with a 1 hp. electric eel. i hit roots at 160' and 175' and it went through it like butter.

Around here you are required to have a c/o every 100' but some of the really old homes do not have that.

I too cleared a stoppage at around 600' with a Quadra-Plex (1/2 hp) using a 3/4" cable. It was for a Manns Theater and 550' of it was through the parking lot.

            http://www.quadraplexinc.com/machine.html

The weight of the cable slowed the machine down to where it was really straining. When it hit the stoppage it was a soft stoppage and we had to spin the drum by hand to clear it. I told the Corporation they needed some cleanouts and they decided it was too expensive. Fortunately they never had a problem on the main again and eventually a church bought the building. I would have rather used my KM-1500 or K-500 but I did not have enough 1 1/4 cable.

240' with a mytana. even with changing drums easily. It is still a pain. Nothing like putting on the 2nd drum only to find you need to change cutting heads to get through the blockage. Around here if you can't go over 100' you are not a drain cleaner. A lot are just over 100' thats why I try to keep 120' on the drum.

I keep my 1065 on the truck loaded with the 100' of cable and its 10' anchor. Along with an extra 50' in a cable rand. I also keep a K 1500 on my truck with four rands with five 15' foot sectionals totaling 300'

The long , tall wheel based Sprinter its a 2005, 2500 series. It does not seem to mind the extra weight one bit. Once I clean out the back a bit I will take a couple pictures. The back is a bit of a mess from a tankless heater I installed over the weekend, and been busy since.
