I Jet sink drains from the roof all the time, its easier than dragging a jetter hose into the kitchen if thje sink is full of water i will snake first to unclog, if there is some room for water in the sink i will run my jett with a 3 rear 1 forwrd nozzle out to the clog as fast as i can and once it is draining i will spend time cleaning the line, ivw also jetted laterals through vents using the same method or i have a helper watch the floor drain and let me know if it starts to flood !

i do it, but you better have a person watching what's going on.

also remember that old school vents might be a vent 90 and not accessible for a jetter hose.

no hub fittings are no problem. abs, pvc or durhah can have the vent 90's
