  • At the beach

Multiple drain calls @ a 3 building condo right on the beach. 50 year old CI. Many of the 3/8" & 1/2" threaded rods hanging the pipe under the buildings has rotted away and dropped the pipe in the sand. Pipes look like an ugly roller coaster. Some sections(not much) have been half a** replaced with pvc. 1st pic you see pipe resting on chunk of cinderblock and concrete footer behind it. What looks like concrete overpour is grey grease I jetted out of the pvc section that soon runs uphill. Second pic shows that the new sections of pvc don't need to be properly hung or supported, a cinderblock in the sand with an extra chunk for good measure!! 3rd pic shows you the uphill climb to the transition back to the old CI pipe, which itself is dropped in about 15'!!

Back when I worked the Boston North shore area all the pluming in the beach area was always messed up or rotted.
