If it is a K-375 the biggest cable you can use is ½” and I believe 50’ is the max length?

Here is a link to a Like unit. Only difference is the open drum on the K-375R

        Re: K-375 need new cable

        Hello!

The K-375 only takes 3/8" and 1/2". In the 3/8" cable you can get a 50', 75', or 100' cable. In 1/2" you can get 50' or 75'.

The K-375 takes IW cable it is flexible yet tough. As torque builds, the outer spring tightens on the wire core causing the cable to stiffen and transfer greater torque to the cutter.

Is is best to hold the cable with tab or leave it loose?

                Howdy,

I wouldn't recommend running the machine without anchoring the cable to the drum.

You get more torque to the cable by anchoring it to the drum. Also helps prevent the cable from flipping inside the drum.

                Hope that helps

                -Chris

                  Hello

Well I still have a too slow drain.
Used my new 50' 1/2 cable. Both 4 blade & retrieve bulb ends.

                  No luck

                  What chemicals would you suggest??

                        Hi

the drain looks to a a 3" floor drain. This is an old building. (maybe 100yrs)
                        3 apts & a store.

I drilled the drain in 3 places.
                        inside front(water level is high)
                        outside (front trap)
inside(rear floor, where it backs up the most!)

I ran all my cable out 50' all 3 locations.
dumped hot water down front trap & rear floor.(5gal pal)

We used to have trouble with roots, but the tree died a couple years ago.
When I flush it backs up in the rear floor, but goes down soon after.
I don't think it goes all the way down.

Well you gave it a good try with the 1/2" cable which will do soft stoppages in 3" line, but now you need the real deal 3/4" line with the proper bits. And because it is 100 years old you really need to get a camera in there for an inspection. You can rent these items but if the problem is bad you will be wasting time and money because you might need the services of a pro. Times are tough and lots of guys needing work so might find a good deal. Good Luck!
