  • Cable spark

I was cabling a sanitary from a toilet line, with the k-60. The floor was damp. I ran 2 cables in, and when i went to snap the third cable together, the cables sparked, alot!! I even got a little shock, just enough to scare me! The machine has a GFCI, i Switched to a different outlet in the house and it worked, no more sparking.

What causes that electrical spark /shock?

improperly wired outlet in most cases. An open ground.

Might need to ask an electrician but when you are putting in new code upgraded plugs and you dont have a dedicated ground (3 wire) folks put in GFCI on a 2 wire and tie the ground back to the neutral rather then do the job right...

                Crap, Crap, Crapity Crap!

Ron(SewerRatz) is right on, A Faultfinder is the only way to CYA and make sure you have a good ground.

Thanks Ron, I'm going to pick one of these up.

On another note, for some reason this photo of you (presumably you) brings to mind a Hobbit. I don't know why that is. You don't look like Frodo at all. Maybe I inhaled too much sewer gas this last week causing synapse misfiring? (just hoping)

I get that sometimes too. I went as "Walter" the Goodman character for Halloween last year. Need to find a picture of it. I even had the yellow lens aviator glasses!

Nah. I'm sticking with the Hobbit. Maybe it's the earth tones in your hat.

John Goodman. Loved him in "Brother where art thou" He has quite an acting range if you ask me.
