  • Dual Drum?

Has anyone ever used a dual drum? General makes one and I didn't know if maybe others do and some have used them.

Just curious of experiences and opinions.

    Thanks.

Here it's shown as an accessory about half way down on the page to the right.

I just reread. Small sink cable for this one. Don't know if others are made that can carry larger cable.

Ok thats what I thought you meant. The Spartan 100 you can swap out the one drum for the 13/32 cable to the larger drum that has 1/2" cable in it. The Spartan 300 can also run the 100 drums along with its 5/8 cable drum.

But the dual drum runs two different cables in one drum at the same time without removing the drum.

Any advantage to that at all?

I don't know JC, that seems like a problem waiting to happen. I imagine the cables are separated by an inner drum so what you really have is an oversize small drain machine.

                        Re: Dual Drum?

j.c. i own a general mini rooter along with a few other general machines.

i would never, ever use it to run a 5/16'' cable.

you have a large drum and large style machine running a small diameter sink cable. this is an accident waiting to happen.

why drag in a 50# machine to run a 2# cable

i'm sure ridgid could make an adapter drum on the 7500 to run a k-39 drum, but how practical would that be

running 50' of 5/16'' cable is wrong. name a situation where you need 50' of that small cable?

Better to have to much cable than not enough.
Many times had to go over 40 feet with 1/4 cable. Mcmansions LOL I like that one.
