One last thing to mention, all RIDGID cables are made out of music wire.

    Thanks

Even the 3/4" cables? Can you adress the issues others as well as myself has been having with the Ridgid cables? As you can tell by many posts about Ridgid cables not many of us are happy with the quailty.

1-1/4" That's almost double the .66 I run!! But the .66 does have an inner core. Does the 1-1/4" have an inner cable? I don't even want to think what a couple hundred feet of 1-1/4" would weigh...

Should I use a bigger cable in the 2001? The thing is I don't normally do that many sewers. Maybe I'll put in the expanding cutter in as a clean up cutter after getting everything possible with my bent leader.

Eel has a 1/2 core. Never used the .66 or 2001 Just wonder if it may give you a hard time. They have it set up on their Model D5 with 3/4 cable. Just be careful

Re: Drain Cables Direct review. A++++++

I have said this before, Ridgid used to make a great 3/4" IC cable. about 15 years ago we got our hands on a K-750 and with out its inner drum the cable would flip on itself. When this happened for the first time my father thought for sure the cable was toast. Once we untangled it there where no kinks, or waves. It was one tough cable.

We where using it in a few of our machines for years with great success, but within the last year the cable breaks and kinks way to easy. Something has changed. Maybe the quality of the metal being used, the process, but as many here has already posted they are unhappy with the way the cable is performing as of recently.

I just hope Ridgid starts making it like they used to.
