  • What hose?

IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A BLACK HOSE AND A GREEN ONE THE SAME SIZE?

I JUST BOUGHT A SAMALL ELECTRIC JETTER (2 GPM 1500 PSI). I'M TRYING TO BUY A GREEN HOSE 1/4 OR SMALLER, BUT I DON'T FIND IT. I JUST HAVE SEEN BLACK HOSE. TIME AGO WHEN A WAS WORKING FOR R... ROOTER I USE TO WORK WHIT A JETTER WITH GREEN HOSE UNCLOGGING KITCHEN LINES, BUT I NEVER PAY ATTENTION ABOUT THE BRAND.

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHERE I CAN BUY IT AND EXPLAIN ME WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE BLACK ONE AND THE GREEN ONE?

    Re: What hose?

    where to start...

Hose type, size and color characteristics are kinda specific to each manufacturer...

What is the difference between Black and green is akin to asking what is the difference between cars but only telling us the color.

FYI typing in all caps is considered yelling (we all have to get told this when we start talking on the internet)

Piranha makes a green hose but they are not cheap.

I think you could get away with a cheaper hose. One thing to consider is the "slickness" of the hose.

typically the color green is a 4000# rated hose. color coding is a safety think with high pressure hoses.

i wouldn't use the 4000# hose on a 1500# jetter as it's heavier and stiffer.

i would use the 1/8'' hose as it will handle the 2gpm you get out of that jetter.
