Hi Sewerrat66 great job, did you charge hourly? what was the total cost?

may I ask the specs of your setup you used...

      machine gpm?
jetter hose size? (looks like 1/4 inch in the pic)
      jetter tip?

how many feet was the run?
why a jetter and not rod to retrieve the wipes?
did you camera first to see what you were up against?

      thank you for any reply.

hi dhdc,we billed it out at 6hrs @ $300 per hr.my jetter is a american jetter with 8gpm, 3500 psi, 3/8 hose. i used my warthog head on this job.the run was about 110 feet to the city sewer.no need to camera before hand because line was totally blocked and we could tell what was in line by looking into the basin.here is a pic of my set up..................

How do you like American jetter? I've had them saved in my favorites for awhile, and find myself always going back to their website. I'm pretty sure when we get our first jetter, I'm going to use this company. I absolutely love the small trailer you have, and been looking at these.

Since you have cold winters like us, do you have to constantly winterize the unit?

it has a anti freeze tank, so its pretty simple to winterize it. also i keep it in a heated garage.....rat

Winters are harsh here would need enclosed trailer. No place to store inside.
Then just getting the trailer in on some jobsites would be a hassle not including winter driving.

                  Good job clearing the sewer

Charging less does not mean more call volume it just means you have to work harder to reach your goals.

I use RV anti Freeze after every job. I put in 10 gallons in the holding tank then let the pump run till it comes out the hose.

I charge a jetter charge so that covers the fuel, and antifreeze.

never used my 25 gallon anti freeze tank. might convert it to a diesel tank and then i'll have 50 gal. diesel. or might install a root-x foam injector.
