Okay I got the K-60 with 7/8" cable...if I get the 5/8" C-8 cable and run it with the K-60...what are its capabilities and would I have to get the K-50....I already have the K-40...I trying to eliminate my K-400 and 3/8 ic cable....thanks!!!

Depends on how good your feeling of the cable is. The 200 rpm's the k60 puts out makes the 5/8 cable easier to kink but imo you can wait on a k50. However if you see one for under 400, I would get it.

I would def. get the 5/8" cables ..They are good up to 2" lines ..Forget the 50..Only reason I want another 50 is to run the drum attachments..The 60 is way overpowered for the drums .I run em' only when I absolutely need to..

I would not considered the drum attachment...I guess what I am asking is what do you guys use the 5/8 cable for on the K-60...1 1/2" p-traps? I doubt you run it thru galv. steel drains...right?

I got my K50 through a 1 1/2 galvanized drain for a tub the other day. Really surprised me, my mini rooter would have never made it, and it has 3/8 cable.

Yea I run the 5/8 thru 1.5" traps if I can sometimes it won't work it is really good at 2" pipe. I use the k-50 drums on 1 1/2" lines the other times.

So basically, if I am not going to use the drum adapter, then probably the K-50 isn't needed for me?

I use it on every thing . 7/8" with ic for the first cable if I am cleaning a building sewer , standard 7/8" in 3" and 4" for building drains and branch lines, 5/8" for 1-1/2" or 2" , and I run the drum adapter for tubs works every time you just have to take it easy and pay attention to what your doing. No need for any other machine. Just a closet auger and plunger .
