          is that a marco machine you're using with a quick change cage?

          most drum machines require tools and it's simpler and faster to just hand load another cable.

            Yes its a Marco and it takes about 1 minute to change the reel out and no tools are required.....maybe a screwdriver to get the end out of the new real. They use snap connectors to connect together.

            ADD> if we need to run down a stack we lay the machine on its back and string the cable through the top rung of the ladder........this method is for experienced users only. lol and no one has been hurt in over 40 years by doing it. we locate the sewer in the yard and dig/install a cleanout.

              I just add cable when i need it , or when i know i need it
              When i ran a Marco i would just add a cage , scary machine
              If i had to lug it up a few flights of stairs i probable would feel different about it
