  • K-7500 with Magnum .66 cable?

Anyone use the Spartan style Magnum .66 double wound cable in the K-7500?

I'm wondering how much the drum would hold. Ridge says it can hold 100' of 3/4" or 150' of 5/8" so I'm thinking maybe about 125'?

    Just an exercise in curiosity!

Rick, they had one set up with .66 mag at AJ Coleman last year so I think it will work.

I don't remember how much it had loaded in though.

I ran .66 magnum cable in my K-750 it worked great. Also the capacity of the K-7500 is the same as the 1065, so yes you can run with 125' in the machine, but why add the extra weight. The .66 cable is much lighter than the 3/4" cable.

The "Trojan" Stallion will hold a 162' of Trojan .66 double wound cable
          a 10' anchor in drum 3- 50' sections, and a 2' foot leader

as will a 1065, or a K 7500 as Trojan sells these like this every day of the week !

We run 125` of the ridgid 3/4 IC cable in all of our K-7500. I`m looking for a change if theres something better.
