Getting ready to order some different blades and was wondering..... I see there are many without any teeth. How important are they ? I know I have took several of my blades to the grinding wheel and put monster teeth on them trying to make them more aggressive. Are any of you running toothless blades anywhere other than orangeburg ?

I have some but they are General Wire brand....they are a lot thicker metal and not flexible at all like the teeth ones....so I don't run them in Orangeburg....that's me though...hope it helps...

i like the teeth as they tend to be agressive with the roots i cut out. as the teeth wear they become sharper.

with grease i tend to use the 4 blade cutter or jetter.

spiral root saw is the cream of the crop on roots. forward they cut and reverse they grab, like an auger.

I have had the best luck with the HDD-5S, HDD-4S, and HDD-3S and multiple sizes of spear heads. I have many more, but those are what I go to first most of the time.

it's almost an exact copy to the ridgid expanding cutter. problem i see is it's a 3/4'' wide blade while the ridgid is a 1'' wide heavy duty blade i've had for years and i can keep on grinding mine.

i believe it's a new product for gorlitz as i don't ever recall seeing it.
