Just keep in mind that when you hit a tough blockage you don't want to build up torque like you do with your 300. You will end up damaging your cables. When you hit a tough blockage just put the machine in reverse, go back a few feet then hit the blockage again. Shouldn't take more than a few times and you will get though it. Or just crank up your clutch and go balls to the wall. Either the blockage will give or your cables!
I see Spartan feed bearings in the picture. If you wore out your feed bearings on the 300 already you are over tightening the feed. The way I do it is I tighten the feed down while the rod is spinning and once it starts to feed just tighten it a half turn more. As for the Eel Model C, you will like it a lot once you get the hang of it. Surprised Marv didn't give you the best price on the setup you got.
