  • Sink trap blown apart

2 Pedestal sinks. Slow gurgling, branches loaded with hair. Took of the trap for the 1st one, got Lazy on the 2 nd. Using a Lil drop bulb I blew apart the old plastic trap.
Didn,t charge them for My time fetching one, What is the largest size cutter You run down a lav sink? Would You have charged for the new trap? Thanks
I can build anything You want , if you draw a picture of it , on the back of a big enough check .

This was a 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" trap ? I would have used a 1/4" hollow core cable with a Ridgid style bulb head. Have to be careful rodding through traps as some of the metal ones are very thin/rusted on the bottom and too stiff of cable can break a plastic one.

Charge for the trap ? Depends on who it was, lol !!!

on a pedestal sink, there are times you can't even get to the slip joint nut to remove or replace. it's just a gamble to snake. i use 5/16'' hollow core to ease my way through.

removing the trap on a pedestal sink is not fun as there are times you need to loosen the wall anchors to tilt the sink up and move the pedestal leg.

If the trap was in good working order it could of handled being rodded through. So yes I would of charged for a new trap.

This also depends on which size/type cable you're going to try & stuff down it

Too lazy to change the drum on My super VEE. I'm embarrassed to admit I used 3/8"
cable. Please keep this to Yourself, Friend.
