Works as good as a Ro-Pump. One hint that the Ro-Pump has is fill the tube with water then make the seal and give it a push.

You put it in the bowl, but do not make a seal with it yet, pull back the plunger to fill it with the water thats already backed up, then make the seal and give a hard push.

I dont see how the fernco would make a tight enough seal in the bowl. If the stoppage is past the flange wouldn't it blow the seal? The six foot closet auger does wonders for me.

Bill, the fernco has quite a bit of flex. look and listen to the video very carefully. You can hear when I pushed the stoppage but the water never dropped until I moved the plunger. I like an auger too, but not when the bowl is full. I've scratched the porcelin because I couldn't see where to place the snake. I know you got way more experience and that probably negates the scratching but I don't want to take the chance.
