  • Reassembling Kwik-Spin

I just bought one today to clean out a bathroom sink. As I was turning it, it tightened up, and instead of feeding, it forced a section of cable out the back of the drum, at which point, it became useless. So I removed the four screws that hold the housing together, released the torsional tension, and tried to put it back together, but I don't see how the inner end attaches to the inside of the drum. So when I try to retract it, the handle just goes round and round, the cable continually slips inside, and nothing useful happens. I am unable to find anything resembling a manual for this thing, so I'm on the verge of just returning it to Home Depot unless someone can provide some guidance.

For $30 the whole piece costs as much as a replacement cable for other machines. Use the lifetime warranty and exchange it for a new one.
