A 2000 watt should have no problem under load since it doesn't have to start a heavy drum spinning.
I have a late 70's/early 80's Sears Craftman's 2200 watt generator which will run the k-60,all saws, drills, etc; but one of the 1500's will trip the breaker,.Have not tried the newer 1500.
Generator is very seldom used, yet now and then, would like to use it on jobs, let it earns it's storage space status ,so to speak.
how often and where ,,,,,,,,,i am just curious as i only used a generator when i was a new construction plumber
Sometimes,a customer has a sewer line that I would like to cable, and I have no access to a electric outlet, say a house that has set for a while and the owner wants all the drains cleaned, yet the power is not on.
What type of monies should I expect to spend on such a project?
A few bucks, Its best to install a second battery for the inverter. The prices and wattages changed since I had mine done in 2005. They now have 4000 watt inverters for a tad over 600 bucks. Xantrex XPower Inverter 5000 Model 813-5000-UL
Plus an instalation kit with a second battery isolater. So maybe around 1200 bucks installed, depending on the brand of inverter you go with.
