  • Another Sectional Option In My Arsenal........

These sure seem like light weights compared to the 1.25" cable. Will have to get some adapters and put them to work

Almost choked on my coffee as I thought Azz bought a K-60.

Coffee out your nose is no fun.

Going to try it but it's going to be awhile as I only have 24' so far and I need the adapters.

Got the 4 cables off eBay. I order my Eel stuff through All Star Sewer and AJ Coleman.

Do they make an adapter to go to Ridgid 7/8" cable? I would love a few 6' sections.

                Is that inner core?

Yes 7/16" innercore. Call Eel they will make most any adapter you need.

I use J-Cable with the drill all the time. I've never messed a cable up or flipped one. Electric Eel does recomend you run it with 50lbs of force on the Model C instead of the recommend 100lbs for the 1.25". Just pay attention and you won't get into issues with the J-Cable on the drill.

Will, what kind of conditions are where you'd use your J cable over the regular eel cable?
                      Buy cheap, buy twice.

Mostly on jobs where I have to clear lines from a roof vent (mostly 2") or for the times I can snake a kitchen sink through a outside facing kitchen sink cleanout. I use my j-cable also on backwater valve clogs or light blockages, but the K60 has been doing those latley. I say the J-Cable shines the most from the roof. I have cleared or I should say "got flowing" mainline blockages from a roof vent through a 2" vent. There are times here in Oklahoma where there is no vents bigger than 2" going through the roof.

The more I look at this 7/8" cable it just looks so wimpy

I'm going to order an adapter so I can use my 1.25" bits, I hope it can handle them........

It's not made for hard-core blockages. Not needed to as Eel's 1.25" cable will go into 3" pipe with no issues at all. J-Cable was made for 2"-4" and for going through 3" and 4" traps......

                            I use 7/8" cutters with the J-Cable

I'll mostly be trying this on certain 4" cast lines (some 2") under 100'. Eel doesn't offer any good 4" bits for the cable so I'm getting an adapter to run my current 1.25" bits.

If other 7/8" sectional machines are having such great success why not the stronger self feeding J cable and low maintenance drill ?
